Supply Chain (SC) Liquids team ensures Feedstock delivery for European cracker assets as well as handling European crackers products. Import of functional chemicals produced in KSA are also part of the SC Liquids product portfolio. In total, this represents a volume flow of 14-mln ton/year. This all in the most efficient and cost effective way, against the service levels required by customers and the market. Within the European SC Liquids organization, the Solutions team works to facilitate SABIC’s growth as well as continuously looks for opportunities to further optimize SABIC’s supply chain by managing various supply chain project activities / projects. These projects consist of an interesting mix of hardware projects, logistical optimizations, quality and software projects.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

The Specialist SC Liquids works in this continuously growing and dynamic international business environment and the work enhances every aspect of the total value chain. This results in leading, but also content wise participating in projects / project activities like: new product introductions, (re)designing supply chains, (re)designing the European supply network, site logistics projects, optimize payloads and transportation costs, system-to-system projects (customers and logistics service providers), etc. All projects are multidisciplinary by nature, which makes the job very diverse and dynamic.


  • Bachelor / Master Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or another related technical discipline, Business (Economics) or Econometrics.
  • At least 3 - 8 years’ experience in supply chain management within an international business environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management.
  • High conceptual ability, quick learning, and at the same time hands-on and an eye for details.
  • Proven track record in change management.
  • Good knowledge of order to cash (OTC), supply chain planning (SCP) and purchase to pay (PTP) processes.
  • In depth knowledge of (SABIC’s) European assets and logistics (storage and transport) is a preference.
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is appreciated.
  • Open for limited travel (5-10%).
