Could you be the next Product Designer to join our growing digital design team at Virgin Holidays?

Reporting to the Product Design Lead, you’ll join three product designers and a UX designer in a digital design group of six. Working in an agile environment and embedded in a scrum team you'll have principal design responsibility for your team’s product.

Comfortable across the end-to-end design process and happy working both at a high level on UX and product strategy you'll also execute at the detailed level of interface and interaction design. Along with a validated design background and an excellent eye for visual and interaction detail, you’ll have a strong user-centered process.

Deliver the Virgin Holidays digital roadmap through design strategy and execution, working to shared goals within a cross-functional team.

Act as the design voice on your product, working closely with the product owner, scrum analyst, developers, QAs and others to bring our digital vision to life.
Interpret user research, prototyping and testing solutions, designing interfaces, and visual designs for development.
Work closely with the Head of Creative, Head of Technology, Product Design Lead and to advocate and demonstrate standard methodology in our design work and persuasively sell your partners the value of good design.
Help the business solve new problems, following standard in design thinking to build creative solutions to user needs.
In partnership with the Head of Creative and the wider creative team to play an influential role in brand identity, visual design and implementation of the brand narrative.

About you

You’ll have proven experience of designing and delivering high-quality digital products, ideally in an agile environment. You may be in-house, agency or freelance. It would be helpful if you have a background in travel, hospitality or e-commerce, but it’s not a necessity.

You’ll be a confident, influential communicator who can champion user-centricity and standard methodology and educate others on the value of good design. With good business sense and the ability to see the commercial side of design decisions you'll also work within constraints to balance user and business needs.

You’ll be well versed in the design tools of your choice (although we’ll probably try to convert you to Sketch and InVision if that’s not already your setup). And finally, you’ll have a great portfolio that doesn’t just include visuals. We love a pretty interface too, but we’ll expect you to explain the business objectives, user needs, and design process behind it.
