Department

The maintenance department is responsible for maintaining assets to increase their asset lifecycle and optimize asset lifetime costs. The department is responsible for: Preparing job plans, execute job plans by technician, and execute financial closeout.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

The implementation of a new Maintenance work process (MEMS 06.04) and a new CMMR system (SAP) resulted in a decreased efficiency of the maintenance organization. A major limitation is the increased lead-time to plan a maintenance activity in SAP.

Standardizing the planning process and eliminating waste will result in increased efficiency of the maintenance organization.

The role of the intern:

  • Analyze planning performance in Bergen op Zoom 
  • Benchmark (internally / externally) best practices 
  • Identify key improvement areas 
  • Translate best practices towards an standardized planners work process 

Deliverable of the internship:

  • Uniform optimized planners process
  • Written down as level 4 documentation

Start date: August / September 2018
Duration / period: 6 – 12 months

Requirements

  • Language requirements: Dutch and English 
  • Most important competencies: Team player and communicator
  • Education level: Bachelor degree
