The Functional Forms plant in Bergen op Zoom produces high quality, engineered thermoplastic sheet and film products across a wide variety of industries, ranging from building and construction, consumer electronics, aircraft and rail-interiors to displays. Through our services and product portfolio, we help our customers to reduce system costs, create innovative designs with better functionality and develop environmentally responsible applications.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

Data availability is critical for driving manufacturing improvement processes. In current structure the data is collected and stored in multiple SQL databases. Without the proper tools, reporting and interpreting the data is a time consuming process. During your internship, you will redesign and optimize this database structure and create easy data logging & reporting tools for the Operational, Quality and Maintenance teams. You will be expected to assess the current blueprint and investigate possible interactions with current ERP system.
At the end of your internship you are expected to have implemented systems for:

  • Daily production performance monitoring
  • Online inspection tracking
  • Process critical equipment tracking

During this period you will be working together with a diverse team of operators, specialists & plant leadership. 


  • Education level: End year project or learning internship HBO or WO Informatica, etc.
  • Start date internship: September 2018
  • Duration internship: 3-6 months
  • Language: Dutch, English
  • Skills: SQL, Reporting tools, programming in Cimplicity is a plus
  • Competencies: Result Oriented
