There's no doubt that you'll have heard of us, and maybe even bought something special in one of our stores. We're one of the most familiar and well-loved high street names, targeted at the heart of the UK mass market, offering a huge selection of jewellery, watches and gifts in over 400 branches.
Our culture is fast, fun and friendly. Fantastic customer service is paramount to our success, especially as customers often visit our stores to buy gifts for special occasions. This means that, we want the kind of person who enjoys talking to people, can quickly build a rapport with customers, to judge what they need and gets a buzz from making them happy.
Ernest Jones and Leslie Davis

Ernest Jones and Leslie Davis are leading diamond and watch specialists, with a range of world-renowned prestige brands, targeting the more affluent customer. A passion for fine jewellery and watches, along with the ability to help our customers to choose really special purchases, are extremely important to us. Every customer has their own story to tell, there is a big emotional attachment to buying jewellery, gifts and watches, in fact, it's not unknown for staff to be invited to a grateful customer's wedding! You'll be playing a central role in creating memorable moments in peoples lives - much more rewarding than your average retail job.
Store Manager
The role is about making sure that the store reaches its sales and profit potential by providing an excellent service to customers, managing resources and activities effectively, as well as building and developing a motivated, knowledgeable and enthusiastic team.
Store Manager Designate
In the world of retailing, few roles have as much kudos, recognition or reward as a H.Samuel or an Ernest Jones Manager. Think about it. The opportunity to lead a team on to higher levels of sales success and customer service, promoting and selling one of the most exclusive products - gifts that can be cherished for a lifetime. It's also worth knowing that the same amount of care goes in to training our Managers as it does retailing our jewellery...
As a Designate Manager you'll spend three months at one of our key Stores learning what it takes. At this 'centre for excellence' we'll show you how to promote the finest jewellery, deliver outstanding customer care, enhance a team and get the best out of some of the most committed individuals in retailing. It's a great opportunity to get a foothold in this exciting business and work your way up to the possibility of managing a store of your own.
Coming from a similar retailing background, we're after all the qualities found in our Managers - tenacity, passion, an eye for detail, outstanding customer care and real team building skills. If you share these qualities - you're a manager or a supervisor, working in retail and looking for the next step for your energy and drive - a Signet Designate Manager is where you should be aiming.
Assistant Manager
An Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager to plan and organise activities within the store to make the best use of available resources and deputises for them, where necessary. Don't worry, we're not looking for jewellers - comprehensive training on our products will be provided. We're after talented people with exceptional customer service and strong retail skills, combined with a desire to succeed.
Sales Associates
The most vital part of every store - the first impression to our customers and their lasting impression of our knowledge and helpful approach.
Horologists
Signet, especially our leading high street brand Ernest Jones, is a business that values, invests in and develops Horologists. There are two sides to this - in house watch specialists, located in almost every store - ready to give customers the care and specialist skills their prestigious timepieces deserve and Head Office, where our team apply their skills in advanced watch repair and a more diverse portfolio of products. We cover most of the world's most prestigious brands, with accreditation from each. We also see it as vital part of our development and yours, that we keep current with every brand - so comprehensive training, visits to suppliers and keeping every one of our team fully briefed is part of our on-going commitment to this most specialised of trades.
